Barbados National Energy Policy (BNEP 2019-2030) proposes a 100% renewable energy and carbon neutral island- state transformational goal by 2030.
The project aims at up-scaling the domestic sustainable energy manufacturing and servicing industry in technology areas with high potential for GHG emission reduction and local value creation in Barbados. The project is also part of the CCREEE efforts to establish a regional program on innovation and entrepreneurship.

Understanding the barriers that inhibit the deployment of renewable energy technologies to achieve long-term reductions in carbon emissions from the use of fossil fuels is paramount to Barbados.
