Barbados National Energy Policy (BNEP 2019-2030) proposes a 100% renewable energy and carbon neutral island- state transformational goal by 2030.
The project aims at up-scaling the domestic sustainable energy manufacturing and servicing industry in technology areas with high potential for GHG emission reduction and local value creation in Barbados. The project is also part of the CCREEE efforts to establish a regional program on innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Energy Division of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Barbados developed a database that allows for analysis of energy efficiency indicators and the impact of policies on trends in these indicators for different sectors of the country. This data will form the baseline of the energy efficiency campaign launched by the Energy Division and evidence-based policy development.
